The Family Opus is a living family-history archive created to preserve the people, places, photographs, records, and stories that connect generations of the Samuel, Wistuba, Rudy, Okulewicz, and related families.
What We Preserve
The project brings together original family photographs, memorial cards, newspaper clippings, yearbooks, naturalization records, church and civil records, census material, family memories, and newly discovered sources.
How We Research
The goal is not simply to collect names and dates. Each branch is researched with attention to original sources, conflicting evidence, immigration history, ancestral towns, and the stories that explain how the family moved through time and place.
A Living Project
This site will continue to change as new records are found and family artifacts are identified. Unresolved questions are preserved openly so future discoveries can strengthen or correct the record.
